The Rockwall from Tactile may well be the best practical EDC pocket knife I own. It is effortlessly elegant and functional, and is so understated that it will attract no attention from anyone other than another knife nut who is in the know.

If you want a useful EDC pocket knife, then buy a Tactile Rockwall. If you want a showy piece of pocket bling, then carry a second knife and use the Rockwall for everything other than showing off.

This is the perfect EDC knife in all aspects. The size, the blade length, the blade shape, blade thickness... All just right for EDC. The steel... Well it's MAGNACUT! The steel that is purpose designed for knives and has a great balance of edge retention, corrosion resistance and toughness. The action is superb and the fit and finish is excellent. I would 100% recommend getting one. You won't regret it.

Good/Great:
- The overall design is clearly poised to be the best EDC knife, nothing less, nothing more;
- ergonomics is traditional and good, no obvious hotspots, jimping is also where it should be and of the size it should be;
- the millings on the titanium scales are fine and subtle, resonating well with the overall concept.
- CPM-Magnacut is the best/most balanced supersteel currently on the market, and the 61 HRC hardness is nothing to sneeze at, this blade will retain its edge almost forever, never stains, and still being considerably tough;
- the detent ball ramp is a nice surprise, something I only saw in much more expensive framelock knives;
- the blade is 100% centered.

Not so good:
- the thumb stud deployment and the pivot bearing are a weird combo, it almost feels like that the thumb stud is not physically capable to slow roll, everytime you try to slowly roll the blade out it would still abruptly launch itself, gotten me off guarded for the first few tries;
- some of the fit n finishes left something to be desired, there is a pretty visible welding mark on the tip of the clip, the handle screws have some scratches, and the lock liner feels rather thin and filmsy even for the knife's size.

Conclusion:
The design/concept of this knife is simply to be the best EDC, and it delivers exactly that. Magnacut is an amazing steel and the perfect match for its task. The overall execution is good, albeit there are some minor details to be refined.

Excellent fit and finish made in the USA. The detent is perfect the blade deployment feels like it assisted. Blade is extremely sharp out of the box I can’t wait to put Magnacut through its passes
Will be my new daily carry. Get one while you can.
